Innovation in Headwear
Carole is passionate and dedicated to innovation and progress in millinery. She has pioneered the use of thermoplastics in millinery in 2007 and has toured the world many times teaching milliners and tutors new skills and techniques invented for their use by Carole.
She is creatively influenced my materials whether new, high tech, traditional or non-traditional and is constantly using new technology to create and innovate. Materials such as thermo-formables including Fosshape, paper broad cloth, ply wood, mylar, metal and leather feature in her design and teaching. She has mastered the use of laser cutters and 3D printers to create new and exciting fabrications and is regularly found cutting strange materials or printing unusual shapes.
